Question 1

Is LeoVegas legal to use in New Zealand?

Accepted Answer

Yes. New Zealand's gambling laws under the Gambling Act 2003 allow residents to play at offshore-licensed online casinos. LeoVegas holds a Malta Gaming Authority licence, which meets the standard expected of reputable operators accepting NZ players. While New Zealand does not issue its own online casino licences to offshore operators, there is no law that prohibits Kiwi players from using internationally licensed sites like LeoVegas. Many NZ players have been using the platform for years without legal issue.

Question 2

Can I play LeoVegas pokies for free before depositing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The vast majority of pokies in the LeoVegas library offer a free-play demo mode that you can access without creating an account. Simply navigate to the game you're interested in and select "Play for Free" or "Demo." This lets you familiarise yourself with the game mechanics, paytable, and bonus features before committing real money. Note that some titles — particularly progressive jackpot pokies — may not be available in demo mode as jackpot participation requires a real-money wager.

Question 3

What is the minimum deposit at LeoVegas for NZ players?

Accepted Answer

The minimum deposit at LeoVegas varies by payment method. For most credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), the minimum is NZ$20. For e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, the minimum is also NZ$20. Paysafecard and Apple/Google Pay deposits start from as little as NZ$10. Bank transfer deposits typically carry a higher minimum of NZ$50 due to processing costs. Always check the cashier page for the most current limits, as these can be updated periodically.

Question 4

How long do withdrawals take for NZ players at LeoVegas?

Accepted Answer

Withdrawal times at LeoVegas depend on your chosen payment method. e-Wallets (Skrill and Neteller) are the fastest, with funds typically arriving within 24 hours of the request being approved. Visa and Mastercard withdrawals generally take one to three business days. Bank transfers are the slowest option, often taking three to five business days. Before your first withdrawal, you'll need to complete identity verification (KYC). Once verified, subsequent withdrawals process more quickly. There are no withdrawal fees charged by LeoVegas, though your bank or e-wallet provider may apply their own charges.

Question 5

Are the pokies on LeoVegas fair and audited?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All pokies available through LeoVegas use Certified Random Number Generator (RNG) technology, which ensures that every spin outcome is entirely random and independent of previous results. The games are supplied by licensed software developers whose products are regularly audited by independent testing laboratories such as eCOGRA, iTech Labs, and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI). These bodies verify both the randomness of outcomes and the accuracy of published RTP percentages. The Malta Gaming Authority also requires ongoing compliance with fairness standards as a condition of LeoVegas's operating licence.

Question 6

Does LeoVegas offer any pokies exclusive to NZ players?

Accepted Answer

LeoVegas doesn't typically offer titles that are geographically exclusive to New Zealand, but it does work with studios that produce games with themes and mechanics popular among Kiwi players. Additionally, LeoVegas sometimes secures early-access agreements with developers, meaning NZ players on the platform may play newly launched titles before they appear on rival sites. The casino's lobby also includes a number of locally appreciated progressives and high-volatility titles frequently highlighted in the platform's NZ-facing promotions.
